Self-aligning ball bearings feature two rows of balls running on a common spherical outer ring raceway, allowing the bearing to accommodate angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. The tapered bore (1:12 taper) enables direct mounting onto tapered shafts or mounting onto cylindrical shafts using adapter or withdrawal sleeves.
These bearings are commonly used in applications where shaft deflection or misalignment is present, such as agricultural equipment, conveyor systems, woodworking machinery, and general industrial applications requiring compensation for mounting errors or shaft deflection under load.
