The 51222 is a thrust ball bearing from the 512 series, designed with a 110 mm bore diameter to support axial loads in a single direction. Thrust ball bearings use ball rolling elements between hardened raceways to accommodate high-speed operation with relatively light to moderate thrust loads.
Typical applications include machine tool spindles, automotive transmissions, marine propulsion systems, and vertical pump assemblies where space is limited and axial load support is required. These bearings are commonly paired with radial bearings in arrangements where both radial and axial loads must be managed.
