Self-aligning ball bearings feature two rows of balls running on a spherical outer ring raceway, allowing the bearing to compensate for angular misalignment between shaft and housing. The tapered bore design (1:12 taper) enables mounting directly onto tapered shafts or standard cylindrical shafts using adapter or withdrawal sleeves.
These bearings are commonly used in applications where shaft deflection or mounting errors may occur, including agricultural equipment, conveyor systems, woodworking machinery, and general industrial equipment where alignment cannot be precisely maintained.
