The 23220K is a spherical roller bearing from the 232 series with a 100mm tapered bore (1:12 taper ratio). Spherical roller bearings feature two rows of barrel-shaped rollers running on a common spherical outer ring raceway, providing self-aligning capability to accommodate shaft deflection and misalignment.

This bearing type is commonly used in heavy industrial applications including mining equipment, construction machinery, paper mills, and gearboxes where high radial loads, moderate thrust loads, and compensation for misalignment are required. The tapered bore design allows for mounting directly on tapered shafts or on cylindrical shafts using adapter sleeves or withdrawal sleeves.
