Self-aligning ball bearings feature two rows of balls running on a spherical outer ring raceway, allowing the bearing to accommodate angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. The tapered bore design with 1:12 ratio facilitates mounting on tapered shafts or adapter sleeves. C3 radial clearance provides greater internal clearance than standard, suitable for applications with thermal expansion or shaft deflection.

Common applications include agricultural equipment, conveyor systems, wood processing machinery, and fan assemblies where shaft misalignment from mounting errors, thermal expansion, or housing deflection must be accommodated. The self-aligning capability compensates for installation imperfections and operational deflections.
