Self-aligning ball bearings feature two rows of balls running on a spherical outer ring raceway, allowing the bearing to accommodate angular misalignment between the shaft and housing. The tapered bore (1:12 taper) enables direct mounting onto tapered shaft seats or installation using adapter or withdrawal sleeves.
These bearings are commonly used in applications where shaft deflection or misalignment is expected, such as agricultural equipment, conveyor systems, woodworking machinery, and general industrial equipment. The self-aligning capability compensates for mounting errors and shaft deformation under load.
